SMC 30 - Empowering Dreams

At SMC India, we are committed to improving the access and quality of education in India in whatever way we can through our social initiatives. We believe education plays a vital role in India’s inclusive growth.

With this belief and commitment, SMC India initiated a new program, known as SMC 30. Through this program SMC India sponsors 30 students for preparation of Engineering Entrance Examinations, so that they can enter India’s premier institutes of Engineering, get world class education and fulfil their dreams. This preparation of two years through premium coaching classes is an opportunity being given by SMC India to those students with dreams of entering into premier engineering institutes, who would otherwise not be able to enroll for this preparation on their own due to financial challenges.

These 30 students are not only given coaching & training but also but also guidance and motivation from SMC India. In July 2019, we also organized a felicitation event for these 30 students where the students were invited with their parents to SMC India Head Office. In this event, SMC India senior leadership interacted closely with the students, awarded some essential study kits to all & motivated them to fulfil their dreams. An Expert Session was also conducted by a distinguished expert in the field of education on Goals, Motivation & Consistency.

SMC supports and wishes SMC 30 students all the best in their journey ahead.

Nurturing the Future

We believe that children are the torch bearers of our future. It is our responsibility to provide them proper infrastructure and help them nurture their talent. As a part of our social responsibility, we identified some schools in dire need of infrastructure development and helped them in whatever way we could to improve it.

Primary School Nayagaon is a government school with a strength of 377 students studying from Class I to Class V. The school did not have any toilets and the classrooms needed some repair. We got in touch with Mrs. Rajendari Devi, Head Mistress/Principle, Government Primary School Nayagaon and helped the school in building Girls and Boys toilets with complete fittings. A new Bore well was set up with electric pump and hand pump so that clean water needs of the students could be met. We wish all the students of the school best of luck for the future

Primary Middle School Yakubpur is a government school funded by the U.P. Government and headed by Mr. Satish Chandra Sharma. The school has a strength of 414 students studying from Class I to Class VIII. With the winters in full swing, we supported the students by providing them sweaters so as to encourage them to concentrate on their studies. 150 sweaters were distributed to the children studying at the school. New Girls and Boys toilets were also set up so that the basic needs of the children studying at the school could be met.
